REMODELS
What is a Remodel?
When you feel your house, kitchen or bathrooms are a little dated and you want to bring them up to date without adding any additional square feet to your house, that would be a remodel.
What does it take to get plans approved for the remodel?
It depends on the project, but typically you will need the following plans:
1. The Existing Plans (As-Built Plans) showing the exact location of walls, windows, doors and fixtures.
2. The Demo or Demolition Plan - Showing what walls, windows, doors and fixtures are to be removed.
3. The Proposed Plans - Showing the new layout of the remodeled spaces.
4. Door & Window Schedules - Showing the size and locations of any new doors and windows.
Other Plans and possibly engineering may be required depending on the scope of work.
